Did you ever wonder how Indian Head Ranch came to be?

This is "Tucker", the horse that started the whole thing... We traveled all the way out to Oregon to try him out, ( it will be eleven years ago this Spring 2007). He could really cut a cow and we ended up bringing him home. Shortly after bringing him to Long Island, Tucker was kicked by another horse in the paddock and had to have his right eye removed.

This didn't stop Tucker or Wayne from competing though, Wayne showed Tucker for 8 years. He was awesome. He made the cover of Team Penning Magazine as well as winning plenty of awards.

Tucker also gave us the idea to go into the horse biz. We could sell really nice horses to people that needed a solid and safe mount. A horse that you're proud to put your name or brand on.

Tucker's brand soon became a memorable symbol
for our Ranch, and people have
come to recognize it. >

Since the purchase of "Tucker", Wayne and Lia have been competing in Team Penning throughout the United States for the last 11 years. Competing primarily in USTPA, Team Penning has taken them from Huntington, NY all the way to Amarillo, TX.

Here we at the 2005 Nationals in Amarillo,TX with some of our team penning friends from the East Coast. We are all sporting our Top 20 USTPA Vests and Jackets. It was a great year for everyone.
